ð Can You Charge Acer Swift 3 With Usb C
Hi Everyone, I purchased an Acer Swift 3 SF314-57 yesterday and looking to set it up with an additional monitor and keyboard and mouse. Looking to purchase a compatible port replicator/docking station that can be plugged into the Acer's USB C port that provides data and charging of the Acer laptop.
March 2022. Yes, if the issue changes based on position of the charger plug, then it's more likely the charging socket than the battery. Which Swift 1 model do you have? There have been literally hundreds of them over the years It should be something like SF1xx-xxx-xxxx and the number should be on the same sticker as the SNID.
On the right side of the laptop, there's a traditional headphone jack and a USB-A 3.1 port. Then, the left side has an HDMI port, a USB-C Thunderbolt 4 port, a USB-A 3.1 port, and the power input. Although it's not a huge deal, it sucks that you this laptop uses a proprietary charging system instead of a USB-C charging setup.
The Acer Swift 3 is another laptop you can charge with a power bank. It's cheap and affordable. However, unlike the Dell XPS and M1 MacBook Air, you'll need a powerful power bank with at least 60W or 65W USB-C port to charge it at full speed.
With the 90W GaN charger shown in this video, I am able to fully charge the Acer Swift X via USB-C Power Delivery. Further, because this USB-C charger matche
Open Settings app. Select Personal Hotspot. Toggle on Personal Hotspot . Tap Wi-Fi Password and set a password. For example, Apple's newer MacBook computers charge via a USB-C cable. This is becoming common on new PC laptops, too---especially thin-and-light models. If your laptop can charge via USB-C PD, you can plug in a portable charger that supports USB-C and charge from it. But you can't use just any battery: You'll want a battery that offers enough

The charging port on the laptop is connected with a cable. They used to be soldered on the board. If you open the bottom of your Acer & trace the charging port to the cable. Check the part number on your port so you can lookup a replacement part. Its awkward but fairly easy to replace. Meanwhile, you should read this ACER page about USB-C charging.
Answers. Nope, the USB-C port on your laptop doesn't support charging, so you need the traditional type. Note that the correct adapter will have a 1.1mm hole in the barrel, some third party adapters have a 1.35mm hole and they won't make good contact with the center electrode. Otherwise any 45W 19V 1.1x3.0x7.7mm charger should work.

Iâve been browsing the community for any info regarding this along with the specific model/usage. Since Swift 3 only comes with two USB-A (one for mouse) and a USB-C for audio (disregarding the headphone jack), would it be possible to have audio come out of the USB-C port? Thanks for any help.

December 2020. OK, the specs for the SF314-52 models do not show charging through that USB-C port. In addition the labeling beside the port doesn't show the DC power symbol. That means the Acer marketing folks either decided to leave it out (and since it's a USB-C gen 1 port it's typically left out by default) or put it in but don't think it's
